Contrast effects with HUES

Contrast effects with hues (both simultaneous and successive contrast) are 

simple enough to understand . The visual stimulation of any specific hue or color

 will bring up reaction to its opposite. The AFTERIMAGE  of red is blue-green, and

the converse; the afterimage of yellow is violet and the converse: and so forth around the color circle . Opposite colors tend to give brilliance and purity to each other,and there is no apparent

change of hue .
